Phase Four consultation

We are holding a further round of informal consultation from 10 August until 10 September 2020 which provides an opportunity to update stakeholders, residents and businesses about proposed changes to the scheme, in particular the proposal that the Facility will move away from using gasification technology to more traditional thermal treatment energy from waste technology.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are unable to hold public information days as we have for previous phases of consultation. Instead we are hosting two webinars and for those without access to a computer we are offering a telephone surgery. Details of when the webinars and telephone surgery are taking place and how to sign up for them are detailed here.

We’ll listen to all feedback and, where relevant and appropriate, will use it to finalise the plans for Boston Alternative Energy Facility before submission of the consent application.
